What a post must be when its creator submits it.
The post must be new
Only a post made after the claim counts. A post that was already up when you claimed is refused.
Post stands
What you can do. Claim first, then publish a new post.
Submit within the submit window
The post's link must arrive within 60 minutes of the post going up by default. The window is part of the frozen terms.
Post stands
What you can do. Submit the link as soon as you post.
The post must come from the claimed handle
The author of the post must be the X account that made the claim.
Post stands
What you can do. Post from the account you claimed with.
The post must be public and unedited
ViewPayout must be able to read the post, and it must not have been edited since it went up.
Post stands
What you can do. Make the post public and publish a fresh one if you edited it.
One X post backs one claim, for good
Once a post backs a claim, no other claim anywhere on ViewPayout can use it, so a post cannot be sold twice.
Post stands
What you can do. Publish a separate post for each claim.
Slots go in the order posts arrive
When the last slot is taken, later submissions are refused. The slot check, the limit on posts per creator and the brand reservation happen in one step, so two posts cannot take the last slot.
Post stands
What you can do. Submit early. A post refused for a full bounty costs nothing.
Links in the post are limited when the bounty sets a link mode
When a bounty sets a link mode, a post may point only at the tracked link ViewPayout generates for the claim or at an address on the brand's own site, any other link is refused, and the bounty can require the tracked link to be present. A bounty with no link mode does not check links.
Post stands
What you can do. Use your tracked link and remove every other link.
The disclosure tag must be in the post
When a bounty requires disclosure, the post must carry the tag #ViewPayout.
Post stands
What you can do. Add #ViewPayout to the post text.
The brand must have the money
A post is accepted only if its worst-case cost can be reserved from the brand's prepaid balance. If it cannot, nothing is charged and no slot is used.
Post stands
What you can do. Submit again inside the window once the brand has added funds.
The post is checked against the brief
A reviewer holds the post up against the brief, the statements the brand approved, its hard rules, the disclosure tag and the rest of the bounty's posts. A near copy of another creator's post fails. A post that fails earns nothing and frees its slot.
Post earns nothingSlot is freed
What you can do. Write your own post that follows the brief, and use the draft checker before you publish.
A person reviews some posts
When the automated review passes a creator's first post, a person approves it before it is measured. A person also decides on any post the reviewer cannot judge, and on any post that could cost the brand more than $12. The post is not paid until they decide. A person can approve the post or reject it, and a rejected post earns nothing.
Post earns nothingSlot is freed
What you can do. Wait for the decision. An approved post goes on to be measured and paid as normal.
Draft checks are advice and are limited
A creator can run 5 draft checks a day on each bounty. A draft check is advice and never binds the later review.
Post stands
What you can do. Check your draft before posting. The count resets each day, in UTC.
