# Switch from PaidHype to ViewPayout: What Moves and Changes

Moving a brand or creator from PaidHype to ViewPayout: what you re-enter, the setup steps, and the settings that differ, each PaidHype fact sourced.

What you bring from PaidHype, the steps to set it up on ViewPayout, and the few settings that differ.

## What moves over

Nothing moves by itself: ViewPayout does not read data from another service, so a switch means entering your setup again. This is what you bring and where it goes.

| On PaidHype | On ViewPayout | How it moves |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Brand workspace: a brand name, an X handle and a website (FAQ) | A workspace with `name`, `slug`, `x_handle`, `website` | Enter the same details again. There is no importer. |
| Bounty terms: brief, rate per 1,000 views, number of slots, posts per creator and who may claim (Brands page) | Bounty fields `title`, `brief`, `rate_per_1k_cents`, `max_slots`, `posts_per_creator`, `min_followers`, `min_account_age_months`, `verified_only` | Paste the brief across and set the same numbers. The cap per post is a field on ViewPayout that you fill in (see what changes). |
| Link mode: no link, a link in the post, or a link in the first reply (Brands page) | `link_mode` with the values `none`, `in_post` and `in_first_reply`, plus `destination_url` | Pick the matching option and enter the destination. |
| Approved claims and hard rules written on the workspace (Brands page) | `approved_claims`, `hard_rules`, each a list of up to 50 lines on the bounty | Paste each line across. They live on the bounty, not on the workspace. |
| A per-workspace switch for a required disclosure tag (Brands page) | `disclosure_required` on the workspace and `disclosure_required` on the bounty, with the tag `#ViewPayout` | Set the switch. The tag text is ViewPayout's own. |
| A workspace API key, and a personal key, for automation (API index) | An account API key that begins with `vp_live_` and works across your workspaces | Get a new key and point your scripts at the [ViewPayout routes](https://viewpayout.com/docs/api.md). Paths and field names differ, so each call is rewritten. |
| Budget credit left in a workspace after a bounty (FAQ) | A prepaid brand balance that never expires | Money does not move between the two services. Credit stays in the PaidHype workspace. Fund ViewPayout with a pack. |
| Creator X accounts, each connected separately with its own balance (FAQ) | Connected X accounts, each with its own balance and its own cashout | Connect each X account on ViewPayout. Balances start at zero. Earnings still in a PaidHype hold stay with PaidHype and follow its hold. |

## How long it takes

Setup is 4 steps for a brand and 5 for a creator, listed in the checklist below. You can set up ViewPayout while your PaidHype workspace keeps running, because nothing here asks you to close it.

Three waits come from the rules, not from setup. A post is submitted within 60 minutes of publishing. Each post's hold runs 14 days by default before it settles. A cashout needs $25 in the balance.

## What changes

Many starting terms match, so a bounty you ran on PaidHype can be opened on ViewPayout with the same numbers. These are the settings side by side, and the places that differ.

| Topic | PaidHype | ViewPayout |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Paying for a bounty | The bounty budget is paid by card when the bounty is published, and what is unspent stays as workspace credit (FAQ) | A prepaid balance topped up in packs of $25, $100, $500 and $2,000. A post reserves its worst-case cost when it is submitted, and the unused part returns to the balance |
| Cap per post | A bounty can have no cap (API index) | Every bounty has a cap, from $10 up, starting at $50 |
| Rate precision | Rates are decimal cents per 1,000 views (API index) | Whole cents per 1,000 views, starting at $1 |
| Fee | 15% from each side of a post (FAQ) | 15% from each side of a post |
| Usual rate | $1 per 1,000 views is the usual rate (Creators page) | $1 per 1,000 views to start |
| View floor | Posts under 1,000 verified views earn nothing (FAQ) | 1,000 views to start |
| Hold | 14 days by default (FAQ) | 14 days to start |
| Submit window | A post is submitted within 60 minutes of publishing (FAQ) | 60 minutes after publishing |
| Creator minimums | 500 followers and an account 6 months old to start (Creators page) | 500 followers and 6 months to start |
| Cashout minimum | $25 per X account (FAQ) | $25 per X account |
| Checks before posting | Up to 5 free checks per bounty per day (Creators page) | Up to 5 free checks per bounty per day |
| Disclosure tag | #PaidHype, required on some bounties (FAQ) | `#ViewPayout` |
| API key scope | A workspace key covers one brand, and a personal key covers the user (API index) | One key per account, covering every workspace in it |
| Click, signup and sale reports | A per-creator report of clicks, signups and sales (Brands page) | Not offered. ViewPayout measures views and pays on them, so keep your own analytics for clicks and sales |

> A brand's first top-up can be refunded within 7 days. A person reviews each refund, and the unspent part of the top-up comes back.

## Your switching checklist

### If you run bounties

1. **Ask for your account.** Email hello@viewpayout.com. We set up your account and a brand workspace with your brand name, X handle and website.
2. **Fund your balance** with one of the packs: $25, $100, $500 and $2,000. A top-up adds its price to the balance with no fee at top-up.
3. **Open a bounty** with the brief, rate, cap, slots, link mode, claims and rules you used on PaidHype. The reply shows your maximum exposure before any creator claims.
4. **Review your queue** as posts are submitted. Reject a post to release its reserved money and return the slot.

### If you post for brands

1. **Ask for your account.** Email hello@viewpayout.com and we set it up.
2. **Set up payouts** with Stripe for the country you are paid in.
3. **Claim a bounty.** Claiming is free and freezes the terms you saw.
4. **Post fresh and submit** within 60 minutes of publishing, from the account that claimed.
5. **Cash out** once your balance reaches $25 or more.

## Questions

### Can I move my PaidHype balance or earnings to ViewPayout?

No. Credit stays in the PaidHype workspace, and earnings in a PaidHype hold follow that hold. ViewPayout starts every balance at zero, and a brand funds it with a pack.

### Do I have to close my PaidHype account first?

No. ViewPayout does not ask you to leave another service, so you can run both while you move over.

### Will my bounty rate carry over?

Yes, as a number. Enter the same rate per 1,000 views in whole cents. ViewPayout starts a new bounty at $1 per 1,000 views with a cap of $50, and the fee is 15% from each side.

### What does it cost to switch?

Creators pay nothing to join, and 15% comes out of each post's gross earnings. Brands pay the bounty rate plus 15% from a balance they fund in packs of $25, $100, $500 and $2,000. A first top-up can be refunded within 7 days.

### Which of my posts count on ViewPayout?

Only posts published after you claimed a ViewPayout bounty, submitted in the submit window from the account that claimed. Post fresh for each bounty you claim.
